1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Scanium website audit platform at https://scanium.ai (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid account holders. “Scanium” refers to the company operating this Service, reachable at info@scanium.ai.

2. Description of the Service

Scanium is a SaaS website quality-assurance platform. Given a URL, it crawls the target website, analyses its pages, and produces audit reports covering SEO, performance, accessibility, security, content quality, trust signals, and AI visibility. Reports are generated using a combination of deterministic checks and AI-assisted analysis.

Limitation: AI-generated findings are based on the state of the website at the time of the scan. They may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed by a qualified person before acting on them. Scanium does not guarantee that any specific issue detected is present, or that all issues present are detected.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

4.1 Plans

Scanium offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Team). Plan limits — including pages per scan, projects, and monthly scans — are stated on the pricing page and in your account dashboard.

4.2 Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on each billing date. All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a full refund if you request it within 7 days of your first payment for a given plan. After that period, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. To request a refund, email info@scanium.ai.

4.5 Free tier

The free tier is provided as-is without any service-level commitments. We reserve the right to change or discontinue free-tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Scan websites you do not own or have explicit permission to audit.
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks or intentionally overload target websites.
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or subscription limits.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service as a white-label product to others without a separate written agreement.
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying technology.
  • Violate any applicable law, including data-protection laws applicable to the websites you scan.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Scanium platform, brand, and all underlying technology are owned by Scanium. Your audit reports and project data belong to you. By using the Service, you grant Scanium a limited right to process your submitted URLs and content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You may share, export, and use your own reports for any lawful purpose. You may not represent Scanium’s scores or outputs as independently verified certifications.

7. Shared reports

When you create a public share link for a report, you make a summary of that report accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for the content you share and for ensuring you have the right to share information about the scanned website. You can revoke any share link at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will be complete or accurate. AI-generated analysis is probabilistic and may be incorrect.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanium’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Scanium in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and by posting a notice in the dashboard at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
